WHAT A SHOCK!
and every now and then (or nearly always)
take us to serious existential crises…
more than 10,000 eyes
reading these words,
these thoughts, this guide…
looking for information… and maybe,
wanting to lose themselves in Ibiza
as our slogan suggests…
that’s why sometimes we lose ourselves
running round and round to find
the words, the forms and the information
that comply with what’s on offer…
Ibiza is living good times
as far as art is concerned,
the newspapers are the best gauge to
measure the heat and motion of a city,
and in Ibiza, when we open them,
we get a nice warm feeling inside to see
that the pages are full
with good fresh news…
We digest it all daily and it goes down a treat,
their words help us, guide us,
feed us and inspire our own words,
which try to be like a ‘chupito’, a coffee and a cigarette
after a nice meal,
if you’ll all forgive my vices.
Through our guide,
we throw a small pebble into the water…
and we hope that little by little
the waves take us spiralling out
to everyone’s shores…
We live in a permanent state of gestation,
composition, growth, learning,
experimentation and treatment for madness…
we are and we feel many things at the same time…
like…
a safety pin,
a patch,
a carrot juice,
a double liqueur,
a give way sign,
hitch-hiking…
sometimes inspiration,
others provocation,
exasperation,
improvisation,
random,
temptation,
seduction,
action…
like the front page of ‘El Jueves’…
(excuse the presumption)
like the sicky-sticky honey of a sad poem…
like a chilli pepper dipped in eau-de-vie
like a ship lost at sea
or the convenient lighthouse…in the middle of the night…
clumsily daring,
introverted,
cheeky and sensitive…
very sensitive!
and so also irritable…
intolerant,
extravagant
yet very simple…
old fashioned
and vanguard modern…
we are a virtual notice board
spontaneous,
alternative,
whole,
artistic,
crazy,
formal,
informal,
prudent,
talkative,
visual,
felonious,
intimate,
collective,
human…
and above all one voice and
many voices together trying to be
coherently crazy…
It’s the way we are,
enough said…!
Our house still isn’t fully furnished
but we try to keep a good dose of craziness
with which we inebriate and welcome all who wish to enter…
