In its celebrations, the village rises early and from the corners of the church
they hang colourful decorations, balloons and serpentines
to later surround them with a belt of stars.

The beaches remain empty,
everybody congregates on the central square,
friends embrace, families…
the neighbours renew friendships,
they welcome the guests and and passer-by.

They dance, they drink, they laugh and together they wish for
many happy returns for San Agustín,
and may there always be wine and good cheer!
