Iván Doménech is presently thirty something and started his musical career at the tender age of seven, when he started his musical studies at the Valladolid Conservatory. At 14 he joined an orchestra with which he travelled all around the peninsula, thus gaining great experience. In 1992 he formed a band, together with other musicians, called Desperfectos with whom he made two records (Vagabundos de la música and Sombras) and they reached many parts of the Spanish geography.
In 1998 he finished his university studies in musical education and currently fits his artistic projects in with his job as a college teacher in Ibiza. In the year 2000 he began his career as a soloist, reaching the finals of in various musical competitions. His band, made up of five musicians of recognised prestige in Ibiza, reflects very clearly the music that this young man wants to transmit. He defines his records as something fresh and with lots of energy which aims to reach all kinds of public. He has performed in many places and has supported famous bands such as El Canto del Loco and Cómplices among others. Iván Doménech won the prize for the best song in the competition PREMIS SARGANTANA DE LA MÚSICA in 2005 with “Acordes de Una Canción” which he recorded together with the ex singer of Celtas Cortos, Jesús Cifuentes. He has already published his second record, titled “Por una Buena sonrisa”, a very Latin record with very intimate touches with which he represented the Balearic Islands in Tenerife and Madrid in the “Illes Balears en concert”.
