May 18: International Museum Day since 1977 International Museum Day helps raise awareness of the major role museums play in our society in educating, disseminating and housing indispensable cultural values.
To celebrate International Museum Day 2008, these institutions have planned a series of activities for May in the Balearics that includes music, children’s workshops, games, conferences, exhibitions and fiestas…an opportunity to rediscover museums and find new ways of using and enjoying them.
