FIRST MEDITERRANEAN CONFERENCE ON COASTAL MANAGEMENT

Albert Prats, Consular de Mobilitat i Activitats of the Consell d’Eivissa; Silvia Tur, Consellera de Medi Ambient of the Counsel de Formentera and delegates from all of the Town Councils of the Pitiusa Islands (Pine Islands) attended the presentation of the Conference, organised jointly by all of the Ibiza and Formentera institutions.

The experts will discuss dune systems, biodiversity, urban legislation, zoning and planning and, in general, all areas that affect conservation and coastal management either directly or indirectly. The conference targets institutions and organizations, as well as groups, students and individuals who are interested in environmental management.

Albert Prats highlights the effort made by all of the town councils on the islands to promote the Conference, which is also "yet another example of the island governments desire to project a new image of our islands to the world".
